Needed a little advice on setting up my surrounds with polk rm20 set. I got an extra set of 2 surrounds so ultimately I could have 7.1 setup. Well finally got time to try to put them up, just been running fronts right now. My issue is that my only place I could put them is on the ceiling. Just not probable on walls or on stands cause I would like to run wire through attic and have little kids who will know stands over. Is it bad to mount speakers to ceiling on brackets and have them angled down to my listening area. 9 ft ceilings and bracket would bring speaker down 1 ft from that. Also, if I use the ceiling, should I do 5.1 or will 7.1 will a good idea. Any ideas or advice would help. thanks

If you do have the speakers for 7.1 set-up, might as well use them. Ceiling mount is not the ideal set-up but playing with the angle until you get the best results should do the trick anyway.

    Cheers!
