Anyone know which might be better? Is the RM10 dated by the Perspex despite being the flagship?

    Don't know about that table however the one I have is available in those same two configurations, one with the base (and a dust cover), the other without a base. For my model it is generally reported that the one without the base sounds better. The base is there (on mine) for those who think they must have a cover attached and need to protect the arm rather than having it stick out. Not sure if this is valid on the ones you are considering.
