I have heard the Mosaics on a couple of occasions and like them quite a bit. They definitely need the help of a good sub as they have very little bass extention. Highs and especially the midrange was excellent. I have no idea of what the street price is these days...but as much as I like them...I always thought they were probably overpriced for what you were getting...at least at MSRP.

Thanks for the insight Shack! I read up on them, and not only do they look good, they sound good too...At least that has been the opinions of several reviews. I agree with you though. I don't think they can justify $2,000. for the pair. They are much more interesting at $350. a pair though, and I might be able to land them for that. Definately need the company of a good sub! Thanks again for taking the time to respond with your experience.;)

For $350, it seems like a no-brainer. I can't imagine street price used is that.

Edit: Just checked the 'Gon and it seems $500-600 is used going rate. Go for it!

I just wasn't sure if it was a deal or a steal. Afterall, they can be picked up at Best Buy. That in itself can be scary. On top of that, I only pick up exceptional deals these days, as I have way too many speakers as it is!! Thanks for all the helpful feedback, except for lightman1. What a chump. Is it too much to simply show your gratitude these days to otheres who take the time to help? Big man behind a small keyboard. Didn't your mother ever teach you any manners? If you don't have anything constuctive to say than keep it to yourself little man. Is your life so bunk that you have to chime in B.S. like that?

What should that have to do with your decision? Best Buy/Magnolia Home Theater also carries Vienna Acoustics, Klipsch, Definitive Technology, Mirage and REL (in addition to Bose -which means they know what sells - even to the sonically challenged). Your opinion of the store should have no impact on the quality of the product they sell. It is either good…or it isn’t.

I haven't been here for too long myself but I picked up pretty quickly that Lightman1 has a lot of friends here and is kinda the resident jokester.

Although I agree somewhat with your perspective...In pursuit of greatness Best Buy doesn't come to mind. Beyond that, they more often than not carry a bunch of through away junk as far as home audio is concerned! As far as knowing of the potential for an "Average Joe" store to carry a decent product is concerned...Obviously I am aware this happens which is indicitive of me looking into these in the first place. Let me guess, your a good friend of lightman1.

When Lightman1 called me an asskisser, there was nothing along with it that indicated he was kidding. I don't take $hit like that. I don't care if he has a lot of friends here or not. When someone puts there foot in there mouth, they deserve what they get. His friends can decide for themselves if his comment to me "a newbie here" was deserved. If they think so, than they can have this club! It's a shame that a few bad apples can spoil such a great thing.

Yeah, I wasn't saying he has a lot of friends so watch out for him, just that he and others are always going back and forth giving each other trouble and stuff like that. That's the problem with the internet, you can't hear how someone is saying something and the tone they use. Who knows maybe he was being a dick, but it was in line with things i've seen him say to other people that he knows. Most everyone here seems cool so enjoy your stay!

Osarion, I was using your comments to make a point to express how I feel. I got what you meant by it, and didn't take it wrong. It's ok for him to joke around in this manner with his friends because they know he is just being a prankster. I myself do not know him, and since he knows this, I think something in addition to his comment indicating it is a joke like a laughing icon or something would have helped in understanding his tone. Anyway, I'm not going to let it get under my skin. I know there is a mature crowd here as well. I have had the pleasure to meet some of them in person and have some good friendships as a result.

The brands I mentioned are from of Magnolia A/V which is now a part of BB and a very good upper end A/V store. I could put together an excellent 2 channel rig with nothing but gear from Magnolia AND Best Buy regardless of what comes to your mind. Vienna, Def Tech, Rel, Klipsh and Martin Logan are anything but "average joe" gear.

Let me guess...you are just a jerk....

And no...lightman1 and I are not good friends....

BTW...my first response to you was to answer your question...this is my last response to you.

    Off to the IL.

    MB,SC,
A lot of "high-end" audio stores also sell Monster Audio products. What does that say? Businesses look out for the bottom-line, no matter what industry they're in.

Martin Logan Summits are among some of the most sought after top-tier speakers in the world... (for those who like electrostatic anyway) I wouldn't discount their line regardless what vendor carried them.

Enough has been said. Go buy them, and let your ears make the decision. If you don't enjoy them (whether it's cuz they're sold at Best Buy, or because you just don't appreciate them sonically), you can always turn around and sell em for a profit.

Thank god it's your last response! I didn't think your flapper was ever going to shut! Kicking a dead horse gets you nowhere. Kinda funny how you got so far off on a tangent excited by your own ridiculous defense that you lost the whole idea of the retaliation anyway. I could give a __ck about Best Buy, or how much you like them! What a drama queen you are! Go rattle to someone who cares.

The ML's that BB/Magnolia carries are pieces of crap.

The speaker closed out at Tweeter and Magnolia at $999 about three years ago.
What few I've seen used don't go for much less. Like most ML speakers,
they aren't going to hit low notes very well. But they do sound good other
than that. They also work well with a 100wpc amp.
And chill with the negitive vibes already.
