NC triangle area Polkies

We are moving back to the triangle area and because of work location we are looking at housing in the Clayton area. I don't know much about Clayton but hoping someone here can provide some insight. I am working in Wilson and Clayton seems to be the most convenient area so far as commute, schools, and housing affordability go. Any information would be appreciated.
