Hey guys, Just got my a5's today have been breaking them in last few hours listening to music in 2 channel full range mode with out the dsw pro 600 goin. They are quite impressive sounding. Very clear compared the the fronts I was running before and the bass is not too shabby by them selves.

I have noticed the increase in volume on the reciever it takes to sound as loud as the my old speakers. I can stand to listen to them louder then what my reciever is pushing out (100 watts). Think next upgrade will have to be a new pioneer elite sc 25 or 27 then possibly a amp if it calls for it. I might need some advice from you guys with a5's what you think is just the right amount of power!!

Tonight I will try and watch a movie and let you know what difference I hear now that I have my Front channels. Allready had the csi a6, fxi a6's, and the dsw pro 600.

Congrats on the new speakers. You will find that after more burn in time they will even sound better. Getting a new pioneer elite avr will also add more to the experience.

Congrats on the A-5's Mark. Upgrading to one of the Pio Elite models, 25 or 27 is a great idea. The Elite line of AVR'S, with the "ICE" amp technology, should be more than plenty to drive the 5's. You really wouldnt need to add external amplification. Enjoy!:D

Im using a yamaha htr-6130, it was a theater in a box from best buy. Cost around 600 dollars. Has 100 watts x5.

Thanks for everyones congrats. Good to hear that the new avr will be plenty to power these speakers. I've also noticed the better sound field with these speakers. if im sitting in front of them i can almost swear my center speaker is on when its not. Pretty cool.
