I turned in my son's 1995 Jeep Cherokee Clunker and got $4500 toward a 2010 Ford Fusion SEL.

When my son gets home from Iraq next month my wife and I are going to give him this car (unless she really likes driving it, then he'll get her 2005 Camry instead).

It's kind of fun to drive, very peppy for a 4cly.

I hate Fords with a passion, but I can't find anything wrong with the Fusion from what I have experienced. Seems to be a very nice car.
Congrats. Your son will be thrilled!

The Jeep was nice but while camping with his Friends one weekend they ripped out the exhaust system, the brake lines, smashed the front grill and lights, destroyed the air conditioning system, and broke the front axle. So I traded it in with the Cash for Clunkers deal.

I hope he takes better care of this car.

Nice choice on those new Fusions. The redesign is very nice and the gas mileage is also pretty impressive.

Give the car to your son, and don't let the wife near it... Thanks to him for his service and thank you for supporting him.

OK, I'll ask then...didja ever put the new car back down after you picked it up? I mean, picking it up is a feat in and of itself but if you're still holding it, well, props to you, man!

Nice and congrats! I'm sure your son will be happy either way.

The only thing I don't like is Ford's badge I think they need to revamp it it's looking old.

Congrats. That FWD will help in the snow. Never cared for Ford much, but, at least the 'mob' isn't managing them.

John, I wish I had taken your advice. My wife drove the car to work today then ran multiple long distance errands this evening, she's really likes all the "bells and whistles"........looks more and more like its the Camry for my son.

I would totally turn around and go right back to Iraq if I came home to find out my Cherokee had morphed into a Camry.
