I've had Paradigm Studios, Polk LSis, Totems, and Tyler Acoustic speakers come through... as well as Jolida tubes, Benchmark DAC-1 USB, and six different subwoofers (MK, Velodyne, Outlaw, HSU)... all in the last 5 years too!

The hobby has slowed down the past 12 months. I'm happy with my system until I decide between the Outlaw 997 pre/pro or the new Onkyo units with height channels.

Way too much gear has been here and done that to remember. I took a 20 some odd year audio hyenas before I got back into it in late 2006. Since then I have been having the time of my life. There are things that I purchased and I still haven't used/listened/auditioned and the gear that fills my HH not even being used still bewilders me.

Wouldn't trade it for the world.

    Did you buy that?

It was a pretty killer CDP -- real laid back sound, but pretty forgetful on the finer details

But for the money 4 out of 5 stars :)

You can't possibly mean a "hiatus" could you? Or was it really a hyenas?

No; I sneaked in and took it while you were checking the noises in the bushes. And don't make me say who was making the noises.

Its all good, to try stuff you have to have stuff, its also how you build your audio knowledge base, not so important what stuff you use but that you have used a variety of stuff.

    damm I sound like yoda

of course in SS case i will continue to lob a few tubes at him lest he get to far off the path and become totally lost, afterall, he's going to be a shark,,,errr I mean lawyer....

I still have my first REAL TT and pair of speakers I purchased new in 1971. A Benjamin Miracord 50H and a pair of AR 4x bookshelf speakers. The TT is in perfect working condition, but the speakers need a little work. The tweeters may be shot or it may be the pot for the tweeter level control gone bad. The fiberglass batting used in them tended to degrade the pots to the point they would not work. Someday I will get them working again. I wish I still had the Concord receiver I purchased at the time. It would be a rare piece of gear as they went out of business a long time ago.

Don't think I don't mind what you say. I take it all in. I am looking for the right tube monos for my high/mid amplification. That being said, I stand by the fact that my new STP SE blow my old BAT vk-3ix SE out of the freakin water. I'm happy with the tube in my Nova for now.

I love my new CS2.3s. They are gobs better than my CS2s. I want one more set of speakers that have a very unique character . . . most likely it well be something from Totem, maybe "The One" or "Wind" or "Forest" or "Mani"

    Zero,

The CS2.3s have just been blowing my mind Screw the CS1. We both need to check out the CS1.3 when it comes out!

Thanks for the Totem recommendations. "The One" is my top choice.

You can't possibly mean a "hiatus" could you? Or was it really a hyenas?
To be honest? I've only heard the word. Never seen it spelled. I appreciate the correction as it is duly noted.

    Haha. Yes, quite well. :D

I've had a few pieces here and there since 1967 or 68.

Me, too, although I started a little later (early 1970s). My own first hifi (not stereo) was a Philips GA-308 tt with a Sonus Silver cartridge, a cheap-jack VM soiled state tuner, EICO HF-52 EL34PP mono integrated with bitchen potted Chicago output iron, and an Electrovoice Wolverine LS-12 fullrange driver in a big vented cabinet. Wish I still had the amp...

(EDIT: Come to think of it, I do still have the LS-12 driver in a box downstairs...)
