Velodyne Sub problem
I have a Velodyne DEQ-12R Sub set to turn on automatically when a low freq signal is present. However it is not working this way. When a low freq signal is present the Sub turns on (The digital display showing the volume level turns on) but not sound from the sub. If I go in the back of the sub and press the off button and again to turn it on, then I can hear sound coming from it.
I bought the sub new this year and calibrated my HT using the AVIA II DVD. When I called Velodyne to explain the situation they told me to bump the Sub volume setting in the receiver to +3 to see if this would solve the problem. It didn't fix it.
My Receiver is a NAD T-753. I have the crossover set to 80 in the receiver.
Any ideas?

How are you inputting your signal? LFE or line level? I've seen others report having luck using a Y cable and plugging into both the R and L line level inputs. You might also try bumping the sub level in the NAD up a little more and the gain on the sub amp down a little.

I'm using LFE for input to the sub. I'll try bumping the sub volume setting. What I don't understand is why the sub turns on (as it shows in the LCD screen) but no sound from it.----

Was this something that was working, now it is not after doing a AVIA cal.?
I am re-reading your OP and wonder if I understand it all. -
It was happening before I calibrate with Avia.
Spoke with Velodyne today and they suggested to connect using a splitter to make the signal stronger. If that doesn't fix it they suggest to send the unit back for repair (Still under warranty). According to the Velodyne rep, they have not seen a case where the digital display comes on but no sound from the sub.
I'll post after I try with the splitter.----
