I just picked up a pair of SDA SRS's off of Ebay here in Jacksonville Fl. Everything I am reading is recommending at least 200 wpc to drive them.
I am thinking about bi-amping them. I was considering two Carver M-500T's or two Adcom GFA-555's, maybe even two Onkyo M508's.
My question to you long time Polk listeners is what amplifiers would you recommend?

    I don't think you can bi-amp the SDA-SRS.

I am somewhat biased in my opinion, but let me first caution you against using any amp that is not COMMON GROUND, and I do not believe the M-500 is a common ground, though i could be wrong. That said, the Carver TFM family of amps are fantastic, and I would go with a TFM-45. I would also not worry about bi-amping them just yet, as I agree with the previous post and do not think it possible with the SRS, again I may be wrong. Some pictures of your speakers from the front as well as the terminal plates will help us help you better. Are your speakers using the pin/blade interconnect or the blade/blade type?

Adcom is another decent way to go, as is the Sunfire line. I personally run a Sunfire with mine and am constantly amazed by the performance I get from my system.:)

Oh, and before I forget, congrats on the score and welcome to CP!

I stand erected. You can bi-amp the SDA-SRS's but the M-500t needs to be taken off the list. It is not a common ground amp.

    Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the warm welcome. To bad about the M500t's, they have a lot of curb appeal.
I don't own any of the listed amps yet, I've just been reading the forums for the last week about the carvers and adcoms. The only amp on the list that I have listened to is the Onkyo. I like the warm sound they have but not sure how they would perform with the SDA's.

Got a budget? What else will you be running?

I am trying to stay as low budget as possible with it being just a 2 channel setup. I'm doing fantastic and have stumbled across some great deals. The SDA's were only $610 from the bay and the seller even delivered!! I'm going to run an Adcom GTP-500 preamp/tuner that i picked up for $100 with remote.
Just not sure which way to go with the amplifiers.

Just a 2 channel set up? I'm sorry, you seem to have things backwards.

Anyway, since you expressed a desire to keep a low budget, the amps you're looking at will fit the bill.

    Bigherm,
So you were the big winning of the SRS's in FL. There was a great thread about these while they were up for auction:

I lost last second to you by $10..ha ha Which is quite alright, I already have a set of SRS 1.2TL's in the family, so I am glad they went to a ggood home! Congrats and welcome to the site with your big boys.
