During the Summer I will be changing my stereo dramatically by the week. Here are my options that I can do and yet still come out with money.

Center: CSi40
Center(s) amp: GFA-545II
Subwoofer: SVS PB1-ISD
DVD Player: JVC S300BK
VCR: JVC HR-S2901U

Is this a good move? Does anyone have experience with any of the new components?
Damn you all, damn you all to hell.......

    Sid,
The JVC HR-S2901U is a piece of crap!! Don't waste your money. I bought one for my bedroom and the recording quality is terrible! I think that unless you have a HUGE bedroom, the CSi40 and the SVS would be a waste. That's a whole bunch of stuff for a small to medium sized room.

Frank, I think you're underestimating MX's expectations. He's cool, he likes good sound but it has to be EAR BLEEDING LOUD too.

You sir are right. When I got the PE the bass sound pressure went rather down; alot. The M&K will be in the closet, played half as loud as it now, just for a little more thump, the SVS would be the major kick. You wouldn't be able to tell the M&K is there really.
I really plan on getting a CSi20 for the rear center and using the PE to power it. That would seem more than enough for my room. I would use the adcom to power the CSi20 when I bought it, but I could just imagine the dust caps flying off and the tweeter having a huge hole in it. The adcom would rip right through the CSi20

Frank, is this the only thing wrong with it? I dont record. I am looking for good sound/picture quality and quiet playing. My hitachi has good sound/picture but it is to friggin loud.
    thanks for your responses.

Edit: If your wondering what Im talking about my setup would be the following ---
    Mains: RT35i
    Center: CS245i
    Rear Center: CSi20
    Surrounds: RT25i
    Subwoofer: SVS PB1-ISD
    Subwoofer 2: M&K MX-90
    Receiver: Pioneer Elite VSX-41
Main and Center Amps: Adcom GFA-545II
    Surround Amp: Adcom GFA-535II
    DVD Player: JVC S300BK
    VCR: ?????
CD Player: Yamaha CDC 585 (I think thats the model number)
I get some extra money I will replace the yamaha cd player with a pioneer elite 300+1 CD Changer. It all depends, Right now I am saleing 2 pairs of speakers, a receiver, and fans to go on top of the receiver. They will be up for sale in a week or so.
