Polk Audio Monitor Series 10b

Hi! I have a set of Montior series 10B speakers that I bought new in the early 90's. My wife and I are adopting our first child and selling things to help pay for it. Can anyone help me with what they are worth? They are in excellent condition and everything works. Replace one of the tweeters about 5 years ago. Great speakers. I have photos but not sure how to post them on here. Any help greatly appreciated

    Nice speakers,, if you are thinking about selling them here,,PLEASE, read the FM rules first. Trust me on this, as members frown upon folks dropping in just to sell. To answer your question, I would not pay more than 100.00 for a pair,, but thats' just me. Good luck with your upcoming new addition.

    First, welcome to Club Polk, and congrats on the new addition to the family!:)


    You mentioned that you replaced one of the tweeters. Did you replace it with the same tweeter, or did you order one of the upgraded replacement tweeters from Polk? The one in the picture looks like an RD0-194, but the 10B's originally had the SL-2000 tweeters.


    That being said...the 10B's typically sell in the $100-125 range. I've seen them go for as low as $60, and as high as $250 depending on condition.

    Thanks. I wasn't planning to sell here. Just to find out the value. It seemed the people on this forum were knowledgeable and could help me price them correctly. I am not really wanting to part with these if they aren't worth selling. I apologize for giving the wrong impression and unintentionally using this forum to get a value on them when that wasn't what the forum is for.

    Dane..Sorry to offend you. We have set up an email acct. and everything to the purpose of fund-raising with this name for the adoption. So I kept everything the same.

    No problem. We get a lot of people that come on here and make 25 nonsense posts to jack the post count up just to unload their stuff. That's kind of frowned upon.

    You're just looking for the value, which is entirely different.

    Congratulations on the new addition. It will be wonderful and difficult, as any fortunate parent can tell you.
    I purchased a pair of Monitor 10B's about 4 months ago on EB. Paid $150 plus S&H. I am constantly on the look out for Vintage Polk, so I can tell you that I have seen them run anywhere between $75-$300 dollars. This can depend on condition of the speakers, modification of the XO's, and or upgrade of the tweeters.
