Brand New Definitive Technolog Mythos ST's

Well, I haven't been able to lock down a buyer for my Studio 100's, so I am putting these up for sale as well to see which pair sales first in order to allow me to complete one system or the other.
They are brand new and unopened. My intent was to go 5.1 with ST towers all around with a Mythos 10 upfront. After installing the front pair I realized that would be some serious overkill in my downstairs family room. I was hoping to go with another Mythos setup upstairs with the original plan, but I had my Paradigms started up there as well. So... here we go. The speakers are incredible and sound great off an AVR. The lack of a need for a sub is a huge bonus for those with space constraints.
Asking- $2100 plus shipping and paypal.
Can deliver anywhere between Yuma, AZ and upwards to Riverside or Orange County, CA. Or you guys can do me a huge favor and find someone who wants a sweet Paradigm Studio system.

Damn thats a stupid crazy deal on some killer speakers. If anyone is looking to get a pair , this is a stupid good deal. WOW!!!
Honestly blueboxer I hope for your sake the Studio 100' sell first and you keep the ST's. In my opinion the ST's are a better sounding speaker. I like Paradigm speakers just nothing floor standing. I don't get it, there Bookshelf speakers are very nice but once you put it in a floor standing speakers , it all goes wrong. This is a personal opinion and i know many who love the Studio 100's. I really like the new Studio 20's. One of my favorite bookself speakers in awhile. Nice.
good luck with your sales.Dan

You might have had a buyer but you never sent me the pics you promised. Who would want to invest in 2k for speakers if you can't even provide pictures? I'm just sayin.

katdog: The bottom dollar is pretty much the price posted, I think the only way anyone is going to do better than 50% off is by taking a risk with refurbished or used speakers with some wear and tear. Shipping would probably be about $80 per speaker, shipping weight is about 80lbs per speaker. Def Tech tends to do a good job of double boxing their speakers.
bdaley6509: Yeah, I readily admit to falling behind on that and apologize. Unfortunately I have been averaging about 4hrs sleep for the last two months and the last two weeks my average work week was about 65 hrs. I need to get the camera out and unbox the Studio's to update both threads. However, I don't know if anyone wants pictures of boxes. LOL
Mantis: I also hope the Studio's sale first. The ease at which the ST's are driven off an AVR with great results is one of their biggest selling points and the main reason I wanted to simplify my other system that was originally going to be all Paradigm. I still think the Paradigms have an added fullness and airy sound for music tracks when powered adequately, but to do that right upstairs would probably require another dedicated circuit and seperates. If I go seperates I will end up going with dedicated everything where as with a Mythos and ST system i will probably stay content with less components, mainly an AVR, Oppo, and PS3 or 360 Elite. -
Picture of boxed up Mythos ST's:
Picture of my work in progress system downstairs, ignore the paint, I had to retexture the ceiling for the added accent lighting and the wall for the HDMI, cable, and power outlets for the plasma. New modern paint scheme is going up in a couple weeks, but it gives you an idea of how sleek the Mythos are.
and my model dog that has to get in every picture for some reason. -
Wow, really surprised no one has jumped on these at this price, especially for brand new boxed speakers. Oh, well, one more friendly bump before the Gon unless the Paradigms sale first.

Great Dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, she is queen of the house for sure. That picture really doesn't do her justice, the angle distorts her, but she is a perfect little bully. When I moved in the whole neighborhood would run to the other side of the street and grab their kids when we went for walks, but now they realize how sweet these dogs are and everyone has to stop to pet her and the kids always ask if they can walk her. LOL

Sure wish I had the funds to snag these speakers but with my hours being cut back to 32 a week since October no chance in hell, someone should snag these quick at this price. On another note, I have 2 boxers, one reverse brindle and one fawn, my wife and I get the same thing every time we take ours for a walk. I think a lot of people that know nothing about dogs see a boxer and confuse them with pitts, don't ask why but they do. I'll never own any other breed of dog again other than a boxer.Money Talks, Mine says Goodbye Rob!!!!

Boxers are amazing, our Amstaff is a little gal and sometimes people confuse her with a boxer, go firgure. The only reason we didn't go with a boxer was all their health problems. They are whirlwinds of disaster for two hyper years and then are the best dogs that end up tragically cut short with a high chance of cancer.
I just started a doggie thread in the clubhouse, please post some pics of your furkids.
PS... we are thinking of adding a companion for ours, a boxer is definately in the mix, I just made sure the Mrs. understands that we will have a lot of plants dug up and fences jumped over. LOL -
So are these still for sale now that the Studios are sold?
Yesterday I went to MyerEmco here in the NorthEast and saw the brother of the Supertower and thought that it was the super tower, the sale agent told me it wasnt...but to me it was pretty big seeing it in person.
If I was local, then I would have bought it from you already.
Good luck with sale. -
I have offers on both set of speakers, I guess it is a race to paypal to see which one goes out the door if not both to make way for an LSi system. I still love the idea of having two systems with different characteristics. The studios seem to require as much amplification as the LSi's, but the LSi system would cost a lot less overall.
