I have MIT S3 Shotgun ICs on all my componets going to my Adcom GFP-750 except my AVR which I use Bens Silvers.
After selling a few things and saving my ducals I was able to order the final set of MITs for my speakers. S3 Shotgun 15's.
Bought them from Joe, he is the man with the best prices.
Anyway, very excited and thought I would share.
Can't wait to get them.
I am currently using AQ T4s. I owe those to Paul who bought my Carver TFM-55X that was just serviced to sweeten the deal.
They are coming Paul !

Man, I was just looking at Joe's prices today and thinking about buying two pairs of the Shotun S3 SC's.

Very nice... I'm running Shotgun S3 cables and IC's on my SDA's and they're a real treat. Congrats and you'll be very happy with your purchase.

Give him a call, great guy to deal with. Since I am keeping this purchase on the down low with my wife I sent him a MO and he said once the check was in the mail let him know and would go ahead and order them to reduce wait time. Hard to beat Joe on price and customer Service.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

Received my MIT S3 Shotgun 15' speaker cables today.
They are HUGE ! Here some pics, one showing the size difference with the AQ T4s they are replacing.
Now for them to burn in. Thundering and lightening here so I am going to wait until this storm passes.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

congrats thsmith.
Can you give me some specks? for example how big is the box?, what is the distance from the box to the end of the terminals?
what is the size of the the other end "little separator"? what is the distance between that and the end of the terminals?
I hope I am making sence. I just can not find that information on the MIT website.Current HT setup

If you hang them outside with the one way pointing up and the other end pushed into the ground- you may get a strike that would burn them in nicely in one shot!!

Box is roughly 9"x4"x2.5"
Distance from box to speaker ends is roughly 24"
The AMP side requires moving my rack so these measurements are aprox the little box is pretty small, roughly 3"x1.5" and the distance to amp ends is about 12"Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

wow, these are some serious dimmentions. The reason I was asking is because if I buy them I will have to open some serious holes in the wall and on my HT cabinet.
Thanks for taking the time.Current HT setup

So far played 3 CDs and 2 albums.
I am very impressed with how detailed the highs are and tight the bass is with CDs and the cables are not broken in yet.
The TT highs sound a little edgy but I am chalking that up to not being broken in or I have reached the sonic limits of my old Technics SL1300, I would have to say it is the weak link in my system right now. NO, NO, I did not just think that, cables just need to break in:oSpeakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

He usually has stuff on audiogon. Since my cables were 15' he had to order them. call him http://equusaudio.com/
I will not quote his prices and never ask him to send it in emails. I do not want to do anything to mess up that relationship, all I can say is if you want MITs he is the guy to call.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

The edginess will subside and there will be more(and better) bass when the cables are broken in. Enjoy!"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Since I am keeping this purchase on the down low with my wife...
Glad to see I'm not the only one who does this:D:D
Enjoy the cables. I bet they're awesome in your system.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
Very cool stuff. What are the big blocks for?

Late last night I could tell they are starting to open up which I knew they would but it is great to hear how the cables change in sound from new to break in.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

Magic, smoke, mirrors and audio goodness;)
I have no idea except some electronics.
Really don't care. Since outfitting the 2 channel portion of my system with MIT S3 shotgun ICs and Speaker cable it has been a big upgrade to how my system sounds.
To be honest, some of the reasoning was blind faith. I have followed recommedations from people like Hearing and F1 that was right on. I look and see what these guys use and if I can afford it I try them out. So far so good. Some of these guys are what EF Hutton is to investments but for audio, when they speak people listen. OK, enough with the zipper tugs:)
My only wish I could afford S1s.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)
