I picked up one of these in Edmonton Alberta at a high end audio shop for use on my bedroom turntable. It works very well and is a genuine clamp, not a weight. Simple but very effective and very inexpensive. I got it for $27.00 cdn funds. Here's a link...

Simple friction. Just press it on the spindle and it very effectively presses down on the record. I was quite impressed with how well it pressed using only friction with the spindle.

Yes, but I haven't tried it on any really warped records. But even those my Pro-ject screw on clamp doesn't always fix.

In the store I spotted it on a Clearaudio Master Reference table and asked them about it. They claim it works as well on most LP's as the much more expensive Sota reflex clamp they sell in their own store.
