George welcomed me into his home and took the time, of his own accord, to demonstrate some of the pieces I picked up. I got a mini tour and sat in the sweet spot in two of his rigs. Also met his daughter Steph. We spent about 1.5-2 hours chatting and listening to a couple tunes.
Unfortunately, I was on a tight deadline-and rush hour was fast approaching. I still had an 1.5 hour drive (with traffic actually took me 2 hours-didn't beat rush hour
) back to work to finish up on an extremely important delivery at work and I still have to pack and drive down to DC tonight (getting ready to leave now). I so wish I had more time to hang out-at the rate we were going we could have gone on all night. Another time for sure!
This rushed schedule of mine and wanting to hang out longer really brings me back to those days with less responsibility and care-free way to just do whatever whenever--One day I'm sure I'm be able to do that again
Of course since most of my time is dedicated to my kids-I wouldn't trade that for the world
Now I can't wait to get that turntable hooked up. :rolleyes:
