Got lucky today

Well about a month ago I got stopped by the DOT in my work truck. I really hate these guys I realize they are doing their job just like everyone else but....... Anyway I ended up getting a couple of overwieght tickets that came to a little over 1000 dollars. I know that this is sorta my fault but in my defense there is not a scale where we get loaded and since its building materials I do not have a real weight on the stuff that gets loaded its just kinda a guessing game and I guessed wrong. So a friend of mine and I were talking the other day and he suggested that I go and talk to my county attorney about the tickets. He said that sometimes they will reduce or even dismiss the charges. I did that today and he was a very nice gentleman and offered to toss out the big fine (just shy of 850) if I would plead guilty to the other one and also pay the court costs of the first one (60). I of course said no problem so it went from 1000 to 225, so I guess that I feel pretty lucky that he was willing to do that for me because he really didn't have to do anything, he could have told me to get lost and pay my fines.
So not everyone in the justice system is a bunch of a holes just a few of them:D
Best regards
Mark

That's called a basement. The Bilco doors cover the stairway down to the main door. Keeps the water from going down the steps and negates the need for a drain at the lower landing.
However, they do still have a slide type lock on them, so I suppose you could consider it a set of storm doors. We don't get too many tornado's through these parts, thoLudicrous gibs!
