Thoughts on Peavey cs800 for Home Theater?

Have a chance to use the peavey amp rated at about 260 wpc @ 8ohms to power my rti-a9 mains. Has anyone done this or have any thoughts since I don't think it was intended for home theater use?
Right now I have them bi-amped using the feature on my avr-4306.
Thanks!

I think most will say not to use a pro amp for home theater. My guess is it would be louder than what you're using now, but not as clean.
