Shop Onkyo is running 10% off refurb units, so you could get $60 off an 806, plus you can sign up for club onkyo and register any onkyo stuff you have for points that you can use for money off.

    What about a Denon 2310?

    http://www.usa.denon.com/ProductDetails/5011.asp

I've had an older Denon for several years now with no complaints.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

Not all of Onkyo's referbs are 100%. I received one that none of the preamps worked. I've ordered a couple of referbed HK's off ebay and they both worked 100%. YMMV though.

That 130W per channel can be a bit misleading. Those tests are done only driving 2 channels, and the power drops off quite a bit after adding a center, and some surrounds. Probably closer to 80 or 90 watts or so, maybe more. Don't get me wrong, I love my 806 and my 70's sing with it powering them, just can't wait to add an external amp to see what my 70's can really do.
