Anyone know about these speakers BIC Acoustech PL-89
Its a full 5.1 set for about $1000 its on overstock and of course bics website....very good looking speakers and from what ive heard before they sound good???
I really like my polks but when I turn them up loud the treble just screwms and does not sound good....12% cashback thru bing

I don't know much about the BIC stuff, but I've read good and bad about it. The specs on that stuff seems a little too good, especially considering the weight of the components. I would be skeptical, until one of the more knowledgeable people on here reply. They sure do look cool though:D If you don't like the sound of your polk set up, you may need to upgrade your electronics, and not the speakers?Sony 40" LCD

+1. I'll bet those horns are brighter than your current Polks. Have you tried backing down the treble a bit? -
yea I was just curious....i have actually NEVER heard horn speakers....
could it be the onkyo receiver...i think i read they make the polks a tad bright....ill take a look at the treble,Fronts- RTi8

Seems to me your AVR is the weak link in you set-up. Get the BIC's and go join the BIC forum.

I had the bic ht-75 and did a comparison between them, the infinity primus 362 and av123 x-sls and the bics came in last by a good margin. Imo you'll be taking a few steps down coming from the rti8.
