Nice collection. I had LOTS of matchbox's; every time my grandma came visit she brought 1 or 2. I always regret not keeping them.

I still have some of my Matchbox cars in the garage. When I was a kid, no one told me that toys can be "collectible" and "valuable" someday, therefore, some of them are quite "banged up".

fossy, these were from Matchbox Catalogs from 1969 to 1975. Each year Matchbox has 75 models issued. I believe I have about 90% complete for 1969, 100% for 1970, 100% for 1971, and the remainder years were about 40 to 60 percents.

I dig the Polkatese collection but the Earnhardt/Nascar is not my cup of whiskey, tea or wine.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

polkatese why did you have to go there (your op). I had many of those posted and then some. Didn't keep the boxes but kept them all in pretty good shape till I out grew them. Passed them on to my nephew and he destroyed them all in about a year. Makes me sick now every time I think about it, or someone like you reminds me;)

apphd, it is not too late to start over, you know. It's just going to cost you pretty penny...:)

I know exactly what you meant. There are other Matchbox stuff that I had, that were destroyed over the years: the pop-up gas station, motorized race rail, etc. etc. sad.
