Hi all,

My setup is music only with a pair of LSI9's as mains. Wondering about opinions on which is better in a music only setup, a sealed or ported sub. Also, has anyone had any experience with Rythmik Audio subs? Thanks.

I usually like sealed subs for music. The Polk DSW MicroPro subs are worth taking a look at, very musical. The use a sealed box with a driver and a passive radiator.

I set up my LSI9's with a MartinLogan Abyss sealed subwoofer and have been very pleased. They have blended perfectly and overall provide a very tight bass response.
    Mains - LSi9's
    Center - LSiC
    Surround - pair of TL3's
    Amplification - Parasound 2125
    AVR - Onkyo 706
    CD/SACD - Onkyo DV-SP506
    SUB - MartinLogan Abyss

I have had ported and sealed subs. My ported was a Definitive Technology and my sealed is a Sunfire True sub. Both sounded good in HT and in my 2 channel system.

Good luck in your search. BTW I would recomend the Sunfire. Great sub for the $$$.
