Lets try then. Does anyone have late RTA 12s or early RTA 12Bs that came with 6600X drivers and a Peerless marked 7514____?

I know most 12Bs came with 6600X and American made Peerlees marked 5414____.
I also know that most RTA 12s came with 6500 drivers and Denmark made Peerless marked 7514)____ Keith

I have a pair of RTA-12Bs, but I'm not sure if they're early or not. I'll check my drivers and serial #s and see what I come up with. I don't think I have Peerless Tweets on mine. What are the main distinguishing characteristics of the Peerless Tweets? I know this has been discussed before, but a friendly reminder sure would help.

Thanks for the info. After looking at the photos, I'm pretty sure I do have the Peerless Tweets. The tweets on my 12Bs are not silver, but black like the Peerless Tweets above and have the same welding marks. I'll check for the small holes in the center of the domes when I get home to confirm.

Not all of the Peerless tweeters have the hole in the dome. The ones that came direct from Peerless didn't have the holes...Polk added the holes themselves because it supposedly relieves the tension on the dome and gives them a slightly smoother sound.

So technically...the ones with the holes are American Peerless, and the ones without the holes are Denmark Peerless.

    just fyi... no affiliation...

hmm...Watch out on this one. Mismatched woofers.

They appear to be RTA-12A's, due to the grayish paper gasket around the mid-woofers of the right side speaker. The MW's on the left speaker don't have that though...they must have both been blown and replaced. They could still be the same model of MW though. My Monitor 7A's, for instance, have the paper gasket around the outside of the PR's and MW's(MW-6500's), but there are also MW-6500's without the gasket. I'd definitely want to check and verify that they all match before buying.

Most likely have the Peerless tweets.

$175 is a pretty good price, assuming the condition is good and the MW's match. The pictures are a bit fuzzy...hard to tell condition real well.
