A couple of days back at dinnertime my wife asked me an un-usual question. i-e what is lacking in my current HT and what is in my future upgrade list. I was not ready for such a question, but quickly came up with couple of items as moving from 5.1 to 7.1 and upgrading my PSW-250 with an SVS sub.
And then I heard the sweetest thing. She said she will be giving me surround speakers as our upcoming wedding anniversary and will upgrade my subwoofer to SVS in this July for my birthday.
As a result I watched Gladiator in 7.1 last night. It was awesome. I got FXi30 and ran them in dipole mode. I moved my existing surround (RT25is) to back surrounds.
FXi30 was really a lot of improvement from RT25i in surround duty. I have a long living room (30 feet) and RT25is were not really filling the room with surround. But with FXi30 I get much better front to back integration and a lot more movie like experience.
Now I am counting days for July.:D

izafar, tie off with the Doc before you make your SV purchase. I am so glad I followed the Docs advice.

I will definitely consult with Doc. I would also like someone comment on the box-based subs from SVS. Although wife is willing for SVS but she hasnt yet seen it and I suspect that she will disapprove it based upon the shape.-izafar
