how would you connect PSW505

I have a PSW505 sub my reciever is a Denon AVR-2310ci. I am not sure where to hook up the RCA cable on the sub and where should I have the settings on the sub set at. If anyone can help me out I would be grateful.

Thanks,

Rick

the sub should have an RCA input on the rear... it goes there from your Denon receiver.

as for settings... a good place to start is to set the sub at around 10 o'clock on the volume knob on the rear of the sub... set your speakers to small in your Denon.. these are just initial settings.. over time and with some more listening time.. you can play around with the settings and volume levels to suit your likeing .

    congrats on the sub.

+1 neighbor. On the back of your sub you will see an input (yellow in color) labeled LFE in. On the back of your AVR you will see an input labeled SubWoofer Pre Out which is black in color towards the bottom of the AVR's back panel in the middle, next to the inputs for Zone 2. Run a subwoofer cable between those two connections and you will be in business. Also, make sure your Subwoofer settings on your AVR are set to "On" or "Present" or whatever the case may be. From there, as danger boy said set it to around 10 O'clock on the volume and mess around with it to see what sounds best. I would recommend getting a longish sub cable to allow you to move it around the room to see where it performs best. Good luck and congrats on the new addition. Welcome to Club Polk.

Awesome thanks, I did what you said and now my media room is complete. I did purchase a 25' RCA cable for the very reason you suggested. I am very grateful for the help.

I have a PSW505 sub my reciever is a Harman Kardon HK3490. I am not sure where to hook up the RCA cable on the sub, to the LFE unfiltered single RCA or the filtered stereo RCA? The HK manual says the two sub outs are "Full Range" Please help!!!

    Thanks,
