Anthem avm50v

After much debate(within myself---hehe) I finally pulled the trigger and bought a new Anthem Processor. Problem is I have to wait another 2 weeks before I get the damn thing, or I would be giving you the review myself. I promise to do so once I get everything hooked up.

My question is, in regards to 2 channel audio listening with CD player, what do you think I should expect in terms of sound quality versus my beloved Carver C-16 PreAmp ?

Just curious to hear what all of you experts think ?

I can't talk about the Carver,but I can tell you will be pleasently surprised with your purchase. The two weeks will go slow,but well worth it. Enjoy.

The AVM50 on 2ch will be very good. I have an AVM30 and its pretty good on 2ch.

Well.....I finally got it. Picked it up yesterday. To say that I'm excited would be an understatement.

The only thing I'm not looking forward to is getting everything hooked up. It's going to be a major undertaking to say the least.......

Have to rip up carpet,buy and run all of the speaker wire and more cable interconnects, buy and lay down, and continue running a black wood floor into the room, buy new AV racks, buy 2 more Carver Amps, buy 2 Polk center channel speakers(still not sure which ones yet) and make provisions for, and buy a Sony VPL-VW70 front projector along with a 100in. Planar X-Screen and additional power protection with battery backups and I sure as hell hope that's it.

It's not going to "be pretty" guy's and my wallets going to get hurt big time, but believe it or not, I'm looking forward to all of it gentlemen. I'm trying to accomplish an AV setup that I've always wanted and dreamed of and most certainly passionate about.

I promise to get pictures up as soon as I can.

Thanks Tom. You're right about the money thing. It just makes me work my rear end off more than I already do. AAHHHH !!!!
