Mirage Prestige S10 vs. Polk PSW10

I currently have a PSW10 for my sub, and I am looking to upgrade it. I was wondering if you guys think that a Mirage Prestige S10 would be a good choice. I am thinking about trying to get one on ebay.

It's about eleventy billion times better than the PSW10, i'll tell you that much.

What size room do you have, what's the rest of your setup, and what will you primarily use it for?

I'm a really big fan of that sub.

I had the Mirage S12 sub, not sure how different it is from the Prestige line, but my Mirage was on a way different level than that Polk psw10. My first sub was a PSW10. I say go for it.

The Prestige line has a better finish, a different driver material, and i believe a stronger amp. It's a significant step up. I've heard the Prestige S10 in person, and it's no slouch. Amazing for a 10 incher, in fact. I would easily swap out my RW-10D for a Prestige S10. They're an excellent all-around sub.

Oh... and they're sexy.

Thanks for the help. I am not sure exactly how big the room is. I am going to be moving into soon. It is a living room, so there are only three walls basically. It looks like this [ as you can imagine. I have a Sony STRDG720 receiver, Polk CS2 center speaker, and four Polk R50's for the rest. I will be using it for video games, movies, TV, and some music. How much do you think the S10 is worth used with some cosmetic damage?

I'd pay $300 or so for one... depends on the damage.

Give a link to it, i won't snipe it, i promise. I already have 3 subs.

^Hahaha, yeah, i saw that when it was first posted. If you can live with the cosmetic issues, and can work out something with the seller to guarantee it works, i'd start bidding on that thing.

I'd pay $300 for it, but i'm not real particular about what my gear usually looks like. I LIKE it to look nice, but if i'm paying $300 to get that kind of sound, i'll live.

And yes, it has an LFE input as well as speaker level in/outs.

I've been toying with the idea of swapping my RW-10D out for two Prestige S10s.

I don't know.....For $300, you can get SVS and HSU subs used....IMO there's too much cosmetic damage..

Well... i'd see what the OP could end up with it for.

The damage doesn't look all that bad to me, personally, but who knows.

It's a $500+ sub new.
