sub selection

What polk sub do I pic to pair with 55i's or 35i's? How do I pick it? I'm down to PSW 450 and 650. I wish there was a 550 and a 45i.

    According to the 2000 Polk catalog, page 22, for 'maximum performance' the 450 would match up with the 55's and the 350 would go with the 35's. See for yourself, go to the 2nd page of the Polk site, highlight 'Learn', click on 'FAQ and Advice', and scroll down to 'Selecting the right powered subwoofer...' and click on it. Personally I think the 450 would go great with either speaker, the 650 might be overdoing it a little. I would go with the 450 and use the savings to get the 55's.
    BTW, what are you using as a reciever?
