Luxman P-102 turntable

I've been thinking about giving vinyl a shot at some point, and I saw a Luxman P-102 TT come up locally. The guy thinks it's from the late 1980's. Any good? If so, anyone have any thought on what it's worth? He listed the condition as "excellent", but I haven't even seen pictures of it yet -- wanted to get some basic info about it before I proceeded with him further.
Thanks for any info.
Edit: I know absolutely nothing about turntables, so any tips on things to look out for would be appreciated.

Some of the Luxman tables were fairly nice. A few of them had a tonearm made by Micro Seiki. Just make sure it holds speed correctly. I wouldn't spend a fortune on it but if you can get it for a couple of C notes it may not be a bad table to start. Local is good for tables as shipping is rough on them.
Edit, I just looked at this model and it may not be a good one to get. Looks a little flimsy. I'd keep looking.>

Thanks. I couldn't find anything on the P-102 initially but I finally found a little bit of information and I think I agree. I want to jump in a little bit higher up the food chain than that model.Speakers: Polk LSi15

if the DP 52F is in good working order I would be interested. Let me know your price and shipping to area code 55417. Thanks
