Specs on RT25

Been trying to find the specs, mostly the sensitivity, on the the RT25. Can someone point me to a site that has the specs or tell me what they are? Thanks.

I saw that link. Mine is the RT25 without the i. The RT25i is the slightly higher end version of this with better tweeters. Not sure what else is different which is why I asked. Thanks.

p.s. I am curious about the sensitivity as I am thinking of pairing this with a cheap SI T-amp Gen2 to bring to college. The receivers are spares that I have and I don't want to bring a receiver unless I have to. I don't listen to my music loud and the room is small but it may be nice to be able to turn it up a bit when people get together to watch a movie etc.

I'm not sure I would describe the RT25i as "the slightly higher end version" of the two. They're really identical, but the "i" version did get real wood veneer, instead of oak effect vinyl. It's nice, but the vinyl is actually of very good quality IMO, and may even be more resistant to accidental damage, but anyway ... The "i" versions are easily reconized by the metallic blue color of the main drivers, which were standard dark gray (almost black) in the original series.

The sensitivity, at 89dB, means that these, like all of that generation of the RT line, are quite easy to drive, so most amplifiers or receivers will get the job done. You may still find that variations between good receivers and excellent receivers will actually make a big difference in the quality of output obtained, but personal perception can have a big impact here too, depending on your listening priorities and taste. The difficulty with your statement "it may be nice to be able to turn it up a bit when people get together to watch a movie etc." is that weak amplification will cause distortion when turned up too high, and that will blow your tweeters. Proceed with caution and stay well away from the maximum position on your volume knob!

For some models, such as the RT55 or RT800, there may have been no real technical differences with the later "i" versions. In the case of the RT25, the crossover seems to have been changed.

Haha not that lucky. I paid like $20 or so for them. Needed some cheap speakers for my dorm room. Got really tired of listening to crappy Klipsch ProMedia 2.1s.

Anyway I got my t-amp today and I am very impressed. Clarity is very good and the bass isn't as bad as I thought. Definitely there. I have the Gen 2 though which might be a slight improvement over the original. Guess Ill leave the receiver at home. The size difference between the two :eek::eek::eek:....
