You must have a total post count of 25 (contribute to the other parts of the forum) before you can sell anything in the "For Sale (FS) Classifieds" or "Garage Sale" forums.
Selling gear "for a friend" doesn't count in this Flea Market. You, or your "friend" need to take direct responsibilty for the transaction. You should encourage them to join and participate prior to FM sales. There have been a couple bad transactions where the seller has washed his hands of it, since it wasn't "his" originally. Sorry Charlie, if the gear is that good, buy it and sell it under your name and assume responsibility.
The feedback submitted for those transactions do not count and will be scrutinized and deleted.

If this is your only motivation for becoming a member, than take your **** elsewhere. You will only find the same cold reception, given your intentions. This isnt some cheap roadside stand to peddle your goods.

There are several sites that allow you to sell goods without fulfilling any obligations, aside from signing up. Here are some examples.
www.ebay.com
www.audiogon.com
www.craiglist.com
If you're just trying to unload some old gear...take it there. You'll have better luck selling it at one of those places than you would here anyway.

I think everyone has got you covered above.
But I'd like to take a moment to comment on your problem.
Onkyos, in general, put out their GREATEST HEAT...and they are among the hottest AVRs I've ever seen, precisely in the HDMI circuit board area--which is usually located on the back right top of the unit???
So I was wondering ALOUD...how many of you who own Onkyos have had this kind of failure. I've been worried about this for a while. It hasn't happened yet. But I'm going with a cooling fan soon! I mean 136+ degrees CAN NOT be good regardless of what ONKYO claims.
And the weird thing is that the 805 has FANS...but they're in the WRONG place, evidently!
You'd think they'd have an extra fan in the VIDEO section, and/or MASSIVE heat sinks!

That's a bit hard to believe...mine is too hot to touch within an hour. So was my 605 and 604 before that.
A friend in Florida who has an 805 also has a 50 pound space heater--he uses a fan...and the figures (temps) I refer to above were clocked in by professional reviews!
The only way you'd have a warm not hot Onkyo is if your air-conditioning was set to the same levels as the Letterman Show?
This is one of the very first times I've heard anyone say Onkyos don't run hot. But I don't doubt you. Just don't know what's going on there. Onkyo admits their AVRs run hot....but claim they're engineered to survive that?

I think AC has factor in keeping it cool. my home is about 68-70 degree. plus its in open ventiliation room where big ceiling AC vent is nearby about 4 feet away. Im only running 3 channel speakers and it may be why avr is warm not too hot? I asked my wife to feel it just now and she said its warm not tooo hot.I am 100% BORN DEAF and No I am not kidding! Why am I here? My wife's hearing!

My Onk 805 gets pretty hot. I have a thermometer (with max temp reading) on it so I can keep an eye on it--Its in an open rack--gets up to about 129 in about an 75-80 deg room.
I put fans on it --now it doesn't get any higher than 102 running full out for a few hours.
Barely warm when on standby.
My only real complaint is when you are using it as a prepro and not using the internal amp--it still gets HOT? It would be nice to be able to disable the internal amps when you're not going to be using them - ya know??

Not sure what (if any) effect that would have on the sound when only used as a pre-pro. (shouldn't be any affect on the pre\pro portion - but thats why they call it a test)

It may be worth testing - when using as a pre-pro, flip the 4 ohm switch on the AVR. That limits the current to the amps and puts them in a lower power mode.... It may run a little cooler that way....

I had thought the main heat source was the back right corner (?) where the video processor is. There were a lot of posts on AVS about people putting computer fans in that location. Could be remembering it wrong though. Doesn't Onkyo use the Reon processor for upconversion, scaling, etc.Sony 60'' SXRD 1080p

Yeah, my 606 get's hot around the HDMI board. There are a number of reported problems with that in particular. I've read accounts of people having the HDMI section go out in their ONKs. Being in IT and working with a lot of hi-horsepower servers, my experience tells me that concentrated heat of this kind is not a good thing.:(-Kevin

Everytime I've ever touched mine, it was barely warm. I don't work, so mine's on from about 7 am until 1 am the next morning (up late watching tv), most of the time. And I'm running LSi speakers across the front.
My 805 is not closed in, and there's good air circulation in the room. Maybe our's are flukes, because most people complain of heat, or maybe conditions are just right, in our environments?
My tv also doesn't put out any heat, so it's not contributing to the problem, as I'm sure that some are. Everytime I've touched the back of my tv, after being on all day, and late into the night, it's not even warm. I guess it's the technology...........LED DLP. My Onk gets pretty steamy when I use it for awhile, but haven't had an problems with the HDMI board (knocks on wood) I'll usually check my 806 after I turn it off for the night and it is pretty darn hot, lol. I am going to get a fan for it soon, that should help.
