I was wondering if this amp (Kenwood KAC-8401) is good to power a pair of ex365's and a pair of ex369's?

Any other recommendations for an amp to use to power my speakers?:confused:

I just want a clean nice sound and I dont know too much about car audio equipment. I was also looking at the Alpine MRP-240.....

Thanks

    well 60 x 4 rms and a price tag of 160 bucks.... not bad. for the speakers you mentioned i would say this is "dead on" right as far as what "size" amp to go with.

    i say get it.

    One thing I have noticed about the lower line of Kenwood amps is that they do not post the best numbers but, they certainly do not sound that way. You can tell a difference in volume levels between the eXcelon line and the standard line but they are equally as clear. I would not worry about it at all. You could certainly do much much worse for your first amplifier! I've been using Kenwood electronics for about 8 years now and I still haven't found a better value.

    better value --> old radio shack optimus 4 channel... 70 x 4 @ 4 ohms for 159 dollars.

    but the case is huge - its as big as a 1000 w class D.

    and they haven't sold them for 2 yrs. ...lol.
