I need to know what you guys do, if anything. I'm tired of getting to work with a wrinkled shirt due to the seatbelt. No I won't buy the wrinkle free shirts either.

I drive to work without a shirt, and put it on in the parking lot.

If i'm feeling REALLY ambitious and want to walk in like the perfect employee, i'll shave using my side mirror.

I would hate a job that required shirts and shoes, that is why I became a porno star.

If I ironed the shirt and it gets wrinkled because of the seatbelt, who cares. The only way I know to fully prevent it is if you have your shirts dry cleaned and get them starched. It doesn't have to be heavy starch either, light to medium works just fine.

You might not think about it, but the back of your shirt is probably severely wrinkled as well from sitting in the seat!!! Ultimate solution, ride a bike to work. :)

Hummm, shirt wrinkled due to seat belt? Never really had that problem (the back of the shirt sure...). You must be using starch, are you (that I can see)? The little extra money for "non-ironing" or "wrinkle free" shirts is worth to save the pain. I do not want to iron my clothes anymore, done that more than enough in the military. I make sure clothes are removed from the dryer and hunged right away and this helps greatly.

Humm, tried using the softener either during wash rince and also tried in the dryer and I think both methods are insatisfactory. Do you think this way would work better? I guess I'll try this, out of dryer, hang close and spray with this. Hope it is more efficient. I was thinking of buying a steamer but maybe this will be less time consuming and just as efficient?

    Cheers!

Wear it wrinkled. I see guys in their perfectly ironed shirts and KNOW they have them delivered to their office from the laundry and probably change them 2 or 3 times a day. I'm not sure who they are trying to impress...but it isn't me. I would rather see someone in a slightly wrinkled shirt who spends his time working rather than worrying how he looks. On the other hand, someone that comes into my office or to a meeting in a shirt that looks like he slept in it for a week tells me something totally different.

However, in my business, I really don't care what they look like...just what their financial statement looks like.

No starch using here. I don't dry them in the dryer, hang dry, then iron. I bought a clothes steamer which works great to get wrinkles out in between washes/irons. The lap belt does nothing it's the shoulderstrap that creates folds in the shirt. If they make fitted/tailored wrinkle free shirts I'll try one but till then.

I think your best bet is to wear a T shirt or some other slack sport wear while travelling and simply put the shirt on when entering the work place (many federal employees do so in Ottawa with great success). In my situation, I don't have the choice to wear while travelling since I often have to meet with client(s) along the way before getting to the office. I always like to keep a back-up shirt and pants at the office also.

    Cheers!

I travel quite a bit and started buying these shirts after reading a review in the Wall Street Journal. I will never go back- i get in and hang it overnight. Most of the time I still iron but can get away without if needed.

Or don't wear a seat belt. Not that I'd recommend that. If you died though, at least your shirt wouldn't be wrinkled. Blood-soaked possibly, but not wrinkled.

I have to wear a shirt/tie/dress slacks on a daily basis, and I just bring everything in on a hanger and change in the restroom stall before I go into the office (wear shorts/t-shirt for the drive!). I drive 65 miles one way (1.5 hrs) so I would be EXCEPTIONALLY wrinkly... :-)

It's not an issue during the winter as my coat covers and shirt doesn't wrinkle it's just spring summer and fall, when I don't wear a coat. Looks like just going in my Tshirt is the best bet for now. I always wear one under my shirts anyway.

I was going to recommend the jacket as it covers up pretty much anything, but not putting on the shirt until you step out of the car works as well.

The only issue with a jacket is that if it's nice out I'll be too warm and want the AC on abd my wife will find it too cold...

50 is not expensive for a shirt at all, at least I don't think. they might be another option. Guess I 'll have to look around. I don't want to look 30yrs older either

I dont really worry about it, if someone else does and cares to comment about it I generally ask them how they think it would look wrapped around their neck??? Of course I smile the whole time and add that Tubes Rule along with a suggestion about where they might put one.

Of course I suspect my solution is very inappropriate in your particular case.
