Help me buy the Carver from Tracy (thsmith):D

I have an Adcom 545. Great intro into seperates. It's driven my LSi 7's, 9's and 15's. It is currently not in use. Cosmetically it's not bad, but it does show it's age somewhat. A few scratches on the top/front edge. $150 + shipping

Also, an Adcom 6000. This is a five channel amp, but the back left isn't working. Could be a simple fix...or not. I'm currently using it as a 2 channel driving my 1C's and it's sounds really good. Cosmetically about the same as the 545. $150 + shipping

Here is the thread where I purchased the 6000:
http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52801

I thought I bought the 545 here, but I must have purchased it on A-gon. Anyway, I believe I paid $200 + shipping for it.

I'm firm on the prices as I think they are priced to sell.

I'll try to get some pics up later if needed.

That 6000 is a great amp. I owned one for a few weeks and was very satisfied with it. Great prices. Open to any trades for it?

Good luck with the sale, the adcom 545 amp has a great design and a nice intro for someone who doesn't have alot of money to spend and just starting up in separate components. Of course we all know how addictive this hobby of ours is,lol.

Here are some pics. As I said, the 6000 is currently in use so the picture options are limited. I will say that while taking pictures I realized that the 545 is in better shape cosmetically than the 6000.

John, I'll get a shipping quote to you in a bit.

GEBBY: Not interested in a trade right now, but I might be if these don't sell and I'm not able to buy thsmiths Carver.

Picture #3 makes the 545 look much worse than it really is.

Bump before it moves to page 2.

Actually, it's the second picture that looks bad. The scratches on the top right that I focused on in picture #3 are obviously noticeable. All the others scratches are brought out by the flash in the camera I guess. They are truly not very noticeable.

    Let's sweeten the pot...a little.

I'll include Monoprice IC's. 2 pair for the 545 and at least 2 pair for the 6000.

C'mon, I know there has to be someone with a pair of LSi's that need more power:D

I've a had a few people kicking the tires, but no sales yet. daboys does has 1st dibs on the 545. Although the 2nd picture looks like I took a grinder to it, those scratches really aren't too bad.

I'm stubborn (or stupid), but I'm sticking with the prices listed for now. You're more than welcome to shoot me an offer via pm. Worst I can do is say "no".

BTW: 6000 is packed and ready to ship. I thought it was sold, but that appears to have fallen through.

Adcom is a good brand without the high cost price. Owned the GFA 5500 myself.

True, but in my mind I'm selling it as a 3-channel since I know one of the back channels isn't working.

How's that for a cleverly disguised bump;)

AND...what's the deal with the Adcom amps in the FM. With the price leroyjr1 has on the 555 and it's still here, I don't feel so bad about these not selling.

545 is sold and on it's way from Dallas to Tampa. I'll shoot you a pm with tracking #.

I'll start a new thread for the 6000 as soon as I research the last two e-bay sells to get an average price:rolleyes:

Arrived in one peice. Will hook up tonight and give it a test run. I was concerned cuz the corner of the box was dinged up pretty bad, until i opened it and seen it was double boxed from hell. Took me 10 min just to get to the damn thing.

Anyway great packing job, will post feedback later.

    Thanks again

Glad it made it unscathed. I may be able to get the stands shipped out today. They're not quite as well packed, but I think they'll arrive safe and sound.
