RM95 system in a 16x20 room?
I picked up this set and im having second thoughts. Im just wondering if these will be effective in a 16x20 room with a ceiling that slopes from 8' to 14'.
I will be using a Denon 989, 12" powered sub, and Polk 50's in front in addition to RM95.
Any insight?

Thanks Tech. I kind of wanted to keep things small. Most users of this system tend to like it but I have read a few negatives.
Would like to hear some more opinions... -
I have the rm 95. I ended up upgrading my fronts and center to the rti a line. If I was you I would look on polk direct for larger bookshelves at least. The rm 8's aren't that bad, but they really lack midrange for music. You could get alot more speaker for less money off of polk's ebay store.Denon 1909, want to upgrade for pre outs

+1
I had the rm95's with a dswpro400 sub and a yamaha rx-v659 receiver and recently upgraded to the rti a line as well. I used the 95's in my dorm room (you know 12x13 ish), and when I went home for the summer used them in my basement theater room (30x35). The nice thing about them is that if you have a decent avr you can push them hard and they wont break. I did notice how small they were in that huge basement room, but then again there was always the option to turn it up. Hands down, though, the rtia line handles the space much better. Now my dorm room, the 95's handled perfectly for the money I put in to them. Good luck!

It will work fine I'm sure, but the upgrade bug will bite soon, lol. Look into the Monitor series. Since you already have the 50's, a CS2 and some Monitor 40's would really step it up a few notches. Welcome to Club Polk.

Thanks All!
I think im going to go with a CS center and something different for the rears.
So if anyone wants an RM95 system for a decent price, mine is available(new) on Ebay for a nice price. -
RM95's seem to be harder to come by then 75s or 85s for soem reason all of them sound great though depending on needs etc.
