As far as I know, the R150 has binding posts... I would just connect the banana plug to the wire and push it directly into the center of the post._________________________________________

Yep, that's pretty much how its done. Although if you can't, it might be because there's a little "plug" that's inserted to keep dirt/debris I guess out. Screw the binding post all the way down til the plug is near flush if there is one and pry it out with your fingers or something else gently. It'll pop right out.
