Wow! Hey gang, been years since I've been on these boards. Glad to be back :).

I have a question. I currently have Monitor 50s' for the two fronts, and a CS1 for the center and NO rears. I was however, contemplating on getting rears hooked up for a full 5.1 surround scape. Would the TSI100s' be sufficient for rear speakers, given what I currently have?

Or could you possibly recommend another pair that's $200 and under?

As always, thank you!! :)

Let me be the first to say welcome back frdranger!! You could use the TSi 100's for your rears if you wanted to, but since you are already running Monitors why not get the Monitor 30's? Better yet, get the Monitor 40's they are IMO a much better speaker for the money. I use them as surrounds in my humble little setup and they work great. The TSi line has "replaced" the Monitor line and pretty much the only diff. between the two lines is the overall apearance of the speakers, on paper anyways, lol. The Monitor 30's (TSi 100's) can be had for $99 with free shipping, but the last day of the sale is the 4th. Not sure what the regular price is (it says $199, but I think that is the MSRP and not Newegg's regular price), but probably around $120-$150. Also they have the Monitor 40's (TSi 200's) for $129.99, with free shipping and they are on sale until the 11th, so you have a little more time on those. For the money I would recommend the 40's, you can't beat that price, and free shipping. I will include links to both of the speakers and if you really want the TSi's they have them there too, but for a bit more, lol. One last thing, do you find the CS1 has a hard time "keeping up with" the Monitor 50's? I have always considered the "cutoff" for the CS1 to be around the Monitor 50 range, but have always recommended the CS2 because it is IMO, that much better of a speaker for not much more money. Hope this helps and I will include a link to the CS2 just for kicks.
