Way good deal! Run, don't walk. Even if they have some issues they can usually be easily repaired.

I posted these around 3 weeks ago in the Deals thread....I thought it was a great deal too and hoped another polkie was going to grab these :D They said sale price was negotiable in the earlier ad so give it a try.

Congrats , and try to post some pics when you get them home.

Oops....just noticed the original ad said 200...they already came down another hundred....an even better deal then negotiating :)

Here they are. Cosmetic damage and missing the grill on the CS350ls. Otherwise sounds great. The LS f/x have issues. One sounds good but has some clicking from the mids at higher volume. The other one has same issues with the mids and one tweeter does not appear to be working. All n all not bad for a perfectly good CS.
Also included some pics of mu RTA15TL's that I have had for 18 years and some Monitor 10's I just picked up. Had to replace the both the MW6600x on one speaker but now they sound sweet.

Gonna have to see about replacing the tweeter and figure out what might be the problem with drivers in the LS f/x.
    Still pretty happy.:D

NICE, you know even if I knew the condition they were in/etc I wouldve still picked them up. That center channel is AWESOME as I use one myself and it never ceases to impress me or anyone else who's heard it. Those FX are definitely worth the fix too, theyre so hard to find in general so I just opted for R15's for my surrounds. If you don't wantem let me know ;) I wouldn't mind finding a donor to fix those things up with. Enjoy!

Btw those RTA's are beautiful, never seen or heard a set unfortunately.

Figured out what was wrong with the one non-functioning LS f/x.
The magnets completely fell off the Tweeter and one of the MW4851's.
Looks like I am in the market for one of them as well as a SL6500 tweeter. Anyone, anyone.... Beuller.:(

Ouch, well goodluck to finding your drivers. Check out donor's, there are plenty of cs245's that can be had for cheap that are pretty beat up with a good tweeter you can grab. As far as the mid bass drivers, what size are they? Timbre matched speakers of the RT series didn't seem to have mid bass drivers that looked the same...for instance my towers and my center channel (same one you have) the dustcapes look different but still use the same tweeter.

Nvm just looked them up, for mid bass drivers you'll have to find another LS f/x or a cs350.

The center alone was worth the 80 bucks, the surrounds are basically free project speakers...touch up the enclosures and replace a couple of drivers and your set.

I would have passed at their original 200 price, but grabbing them for 80 leaves you a nice buffer price wise to get them in great shape and probably still come in under the original ad's 200.

Thanks for the sound advice Shadow. If I can get my hands on those components I am set. Except of course those SDA's that keep slippin away from me. :( Hey what is the Bipole/Dipole setting for. I messed with it while listening to the speakers and really heard no diffrence.

Set to dipole when the speakers are on the side wall and bipole when the speakers are set on the back wall.

Got the replacement LS6500 and MW4851 last night. The tweeter sounds sweet, but I am still getting some cracking sounds on both the mids in this speaker. Noticed that they are missing foam gasket on the MW, might this be the problem? Or could there be a bigger problem with the speaker?
