Thoughts on GFP-710

Hello everyone. I have a chance to pick up an Adcom GFA-5500 and GFP-710 (pre-amp). I'm not really interested in the pre-amp, but the seller doesn't want to seperate them. They're both in near perfect 10/10 condition.
Does anyone have experience with this pre-amp? I've heard tons of good stuff on the amp, but not sure what to do with the pre-amp, as I was just planning on hooking the amp up to my Onkyo TX-SR705.
Any thoughts would be nice.
