I'm selling my rti 8's and csi 3. I don't feel like they do it for music. For movies they're great the mids are smooth and the tweet is forward which is good for that in your face movie experience. I just feel for music they don't go low enough and the tweeter needs to relax when I'm trying to relax you know? I just heard some vienna speakers at best buy and the smooth tweeter just sold me. Thing is they want too much money. I'm looking to spend between $500- $800 for the fronts. I'll get a center and rears later on. So, whatcha got?

You're probably thinking 1.2's or so for 1k+ but I picked up my SDA 1C's for about 475ish (600 because I also got a CS350). Near mint condition with very little fray on one grill, original boxes+foam that look like theyre only 2-3months old and original IC. Just check out the threads here, ebay and craigslist and you might end up scoring a good deal on a pair of them or other SDA's.

Wow, I didn't even think about that. Do any of the vintage polks even have center channels? I wouldn't think so.

In my experience it blends in perfectly nice with my cs350 and believe it or not thats the common center Ive seen used when people use their SDA's for HT (not everyone just the majority). The sda effect itself produces a center channel image as well.

I have a pair of SDA CRS for sale for $350, but I don't want to ship them. I used these as the mains on my HT with a CS400i and a pair of RT800i towers in the rear. They sound great for movies and music, but need some room to set up properly. See the link below. I do not have stands and my pair are vinyl not veneer. I'm selling because I bought new Monitor Audio RS8's for my 2 channel rig and I moved the RT800i's to the front of the room as the mains on my HT because of space issues. Actual photos available on request via email.
