Mointor 40 cherry finish

Hi. I'm going to buy my first pairs of Polks soon and I'm looking mainly at the Monitor line, specifically the 40's. I was looking on newegg and the cherry finish that they have for the 40's is sort of maple-ish looking while the the 30's seem to have a deeper more cherry-like color. I checked on the the spec pages here and the both the 30's and 40's have the same maple finish to them. I looked around online and it seems like the dark cherry was discontinued at some point. Can anyone tell me if they used to be darker and were replaced with the lighter, or if it's just the pictures that make them look light? Thanks.

The cherry 40s and 30s have seen were pretty much the same shade. Pictures posted to the internet quite often do hot have the best color fidelity you really cannot count on them giving you a fair representation of the real color of things..
