The Kegerator!

I had a somewhat crappy day last Friday... ended up going to the doctor at lunch for back spasms. So when I got home I wasn't overjoyed when my wife immediately told me we had to help the neighbors move some furniture. Alright, I'll grab a couple beers and a few ibuprofen and 'supervise'.
So when I get there, it was all a ruse for an early birthday present: The Kegerator!!!
And it was all set with a 1/4 barrel of Pale Ale from the local brewery. I've been thinking about converting an old fridge to a keg fridge for years, but having all the plumbing done, Co2 setup, and even chrome rails along the side was too sweet.
I've never loved her more than I do right now (choking back tears)...

Dylan,
That is one fine lady you have there. I am jealous. I too would love a kegarator, but only in my wildest dreams would I expect to get one as a gift from my girlfriend. -
Way to GO man, good on her!
Cheers,
RussCheck your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -

Ah, the joys of cold beer on tap! Congrats man, congrats!!
I got mine, albeit used and in need of a little repair last fall and LOVE it.
If anyone is interested, converting an old fridge into a Kegerator is pretty easy and reasonably inexpensive....

TroyD,
I would love to learn how to convert a typical, boring frig into a worthwhile one.
