Another router question

I just upgraded to FIOS last week they installed an a Westell 9100EM gateway.

I am pretty sure I can not turn off DHCP or bridge it due to the IPTVs.

I just bought some Cisco routers and switches I am going to build a lab to study CCNA and MCSE so I would like to have these connected to the router so I have internet access.

I want to know if anyone knew how to do that since I won't be able to turn off DHCP, I'm assuming I assign the cisco router a private ip address, but I'm not sure if there is more things I need to do to keep from interfering with the iptvs.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Setup:

PC: Vienna Acoustics Haydn Grand, Cambridge Azure 650A v2 , Peachtree iDAC, Denon DVD-3800BDCI

When the routers are installed and other IP devices are plug into that, the DSL modem can be bridged if so then the router does the sign up.

you just want to hang it off your LAN to access it? Or will it be handling your network traffic?

I run a Cisco 3600 on the front end of my network and its pretty easy

depending on the IOS you can assign the cisco interface to do dhcp.

Well I'm almost positive that I'll have to keep Westell DHCP turned on, because the Cisco routers do not support IPTV. So I'm thinking I would connect the cisco router to the Westell give it a private ip, and then run my other cisco routers and switches through my cisco router.

As far as the devices connected to my Cisco I'll run dhcp or static I can figure that part out. I just know with FIOS and U-verse since they run everything through the gateway they don't allow you to turn off DHCP or bridge it. So I'm assuming just assign in a private ip and i'll be ok, I just want to make sure that's correct and that it does not cause any conflicts with the Iptvs.

IPTV isn't that off another port on an unit in your house? So your DSL wire port is different then an IPTV port?

Just my thinking, not sure never seen that end. ;)

Well I found a walkthrough on broadband reports i'll try tonight. The way FIOS is set up is they install an ONT outside your home, and connect it to their network through fiber. The install tech will almost always use your existing wiring in my case it's coax. So coax to the DVRs, and coax to the Westell router which is equivalent to the "DSL wire port". So from what i've read if I wanted to make another router my primary I would need to run ethernet from the ONT to my router, and keep the Coax connected to the westell and connect the Westell to my primary router.

My cisco router is a 2610, and 2505 they are not wireless, so i'm going to keep the Westell as my primary, and from what I've read its just about how I assign the ip addresses. I'll have to turn off DHCP on the cisco, and assign it a static ip for the WAN.

I think I got a good idea on where to go from here I'll find out tonight hopefully.
