You know,, I just assumed that I could,,, but after this weekend,I'm not sure about anything,, good question Joe,, time for some research,I guess,,hmmm
Yep,, went back and double checked the sn#'s,, it'll work,,according to the spec sheet that Polk issued regarding the AI-1 and certain model and seial numbers.
Anybody willing to loan me one for a brief period?JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut) -
bump
Anyone got one that I could borrow for a short time?.I just want to evaluate my 1C's with my tubed mono's, before/if I decide to build a dreadnought. Trust me,I'm not going to disassemble it or anything of the kind, just for listening purposes only. Thanks in advance.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut) -
Thanks guy's,,Sal,,I've already confirmed that my 1C's can use the AI-1,,as reflected in the serial numbers,, but that is an excellent point that you make for anyone considering using non common ground amplifiers.ThanksJC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

Hi George!
You can borrow mine. It's brand new so you'll have to burn it in. Came with my 2.3's, never used it.Carl -
God bless you Carl,, thank you so much.FWIW,, I'm going to see/evaluate the 1C's and see how they perform with the VTL compact 100's vs the Quickie's.If they perform like I expect, then I'll hunt down an AI-1 for purchase or build a "Dreadnought". Thanks again,, this makes my day.:)JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

I'm happy to do it George. I didn't see this listing until today. I don't visit this part of the Forum very often. I'll put in in the mail on Monday.:)Carl

Just an update,, got it connected yesterday,,running a pair of Quicksilver mono's with the 1C's right now. It's very good, and I'm gonna do some A/B with the stereo amps and determine which setup I prefer,if I had to decide right now,I'd have to go with the mono's.Thanks again Carl,,please check you pm's. BTW--outstanding packing job,I might add.;):)JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

did you steal these from a guy in ATL?
If I had one you could use it George.Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
Outlaw ICBM - crossover
Beringher BFD - sub eq
Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

Russ,, if you're talking about the speakers, nope,, got them from a guy in N.Carolina,,original owner,, set up a relay, thanks to Trietz and Lightman,,met up at Ben's,,introduced all to the Dodd/Anthem Amp One/1C combination, and for the next few hours, we were all just wowed. Most of us have heard rigs that just simply stand out in our minds,as unforgetttablely wonderful,, maybe it's the synergy, environment, people, music,or something unique. For me,such rigs include Ted's Stingray/1C rig,at PF,,,Jesse's Manley/1C rig at Carverfest,. this rig has the same "wow" factor,,IMHO.I don't know where I'm going with this,, but maybe it the "magic smoke" in the SDA's that does it,, you gotta' admit,, Matt and the boys had somethin' goin' on when they built them,,oh yeah.;)
Sorry for the rant.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)
