I just picked up two Polk speakers at he local thrift, and I'm trying to id the model. There's no identifier, and no fuse on the back.
The dimensions are 21x10x8 with two woofers and one assumedly silk dome tweeter. Black, with a plastic face plate and removeable screen. They say Polk on the faceplate and on the tweeter. [I will post a pic if I can figure out how.]
I'm kinda shocked at how good they sound. The problem is that with some songs (Cat Power-Jukebox; King Tubby) I hear a raspy noise when there are serious low end sounds present, and only with one speaker. I worry that they might need fixing, and I'd like to figure out which speakers these are...
Thanks for any input... x

Can't find a pic online, but I think you've got an S6...

Never heard any of the S series, so I can't comment.

Yeah, that seems to fit the bill. Nice speakers for under $30. Now I just have to figure out that raspy noise. Probably worth the fix, if I can.
