Watched the news about the problem in Everglades, 150 thousands uncontrollable Burmese Pythons population, started off because owners releasing them when they get too big to manage?

Floridians, that's disturbing (and scary) news....I never like snake, let alone as pets.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I saw a good tv special about that subject. They feel there could be monster size pythons and boas in The Everglades, and they will soon start invading the burbs.

As soon as they eat a couple kids they'll outlaw them across the nation. The kids, not the snakes. People have rights you know.

I guess you did not see this in the news a couple years ago, where a python burst open trying to swallow an alligator whole...

That's pretty scary when a snake can take down an alligator.

im not worried about pythons.. im worried about cotton mouth, rattlesnakes or water moccassin. we live by the lake.

Ive owned burmese pythons.. they arent that bad as other snakes. Im not saying its not dangerous. anything that has mouth is dangerous

    hillarious George.

Actually, somebody should come up with a good python's bbq recipe. I read it's high in protein, along with maggots, rats, and other (human considered) pests.

    Fried snake and Ham Gravy

1 24" to 30" skinned & cleaned western diamondback rattlesnake, cut in 3" to 4" pieces

~ drippings of 6 slices of bacon

    ~ 3/4 cup oil

~ 3/4 lb. cooked ham, diced

    ~ 2 cups milk

    ~ 1 tbs brewed coffee

    ~ 1/2 cup flour (1 tbs reserved)

    ~ biscuits or toast

    ~ salt and pepper

~ tabasco sauce, optional In a cast iron skillet,

fry the bacon. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels. Reserve drippings. Add the oil to the drippings. Flour rattlesnake and fry over medium heat until golden brown. Remove each piece as it becomes done and drain on paper towels. Drain off the oil and drippings reserving 1 tbs. Add 1 tbs of flour. Stir and scrape bottom of the skillet to remove any browned stuck pieces. Add the ham, coffee and milk. Stir until bubbly. If too thick add water, coffee or milk a tablespoon at a time. Serve the rattlesnake with biscuits or toast and the ham gravy. Salt and pepper and/or season with tabasco sauce to taste. Serves 2 -3. Enjoy!

I saw a thing on Disc/TLC/Sci Channel (I don't remember which one) where they're eventually going to surpass gators as the apex predator in the Everglades.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

I remember the alligator/snake meeting images. I think they determined the snake either had an infection that was aggravated by alligator claw and burst, or one of the claws ripped something open, it got infected, and then the snake burst. If all had gone well/normal that image would never have been posted cause that snake never would've burst, the alligator would've been swallowed whole, and its family would never have to see that on the internet.
