He was asking $ 950, got him down to $750 because I was picking them up. I live in eastern Pa., he is in Ohio. Should be around 6 hours. I think for what I've seen that was a pretty good price.

just be real careful in driving with them and put a bunch of padding under them, you don't want to throw a driver off axis.

I've got 3 inch foam padding, I will lay them face down. We'll be on the road Sunday morning at 3:30 AM.

Have a great road trip and enjoy the 2.3tl's.

Amazing how thoughts about price can change around here. Last winter I offered my 2.3tl's for sale, at $800 with a full set of new RDO's installed. Some here insinuated that $800 was too much, and for all the talk, there was "some" interest from folks on this forum however in the end they were all kicking tires. It took Ebay to get them sold and sell they did at $800.

All life's experiences can be learned from. When and if I have to part with my current 1.2tls, I plan to bypass this forum entirely, and cut direct to the chase on Ebay.

Face down might not be such a good idea; you might damage the tweeter domes. Put them on their back and you'll be fine.

The FM has been dead for some time now. Last year though I remember it being VERY active. The problem is you're dealing with a VERY limited audience. More people know about eBay than the the forums here.

That said, $800 seems reasonable, especially with the upgrades.
