Usher Audio RWS-708 Loudspeaker Stands - Cherry/Marble - Adustable - 9/10 - *SOLD* to mmadden28

Here's the vital statistics from Usher:

The RWS-708 speaker stand is compatible with all X Series bookshelf speakers. Constructed with steel uprights, solid birch side panels and an 11"x7" steel platform that attaches to speakers with two Phillips head bolts and rubber grommets. The 1.75"-thick marble base is 13"x13" for maximum stability and support. The stand can be adjusted from 24" to 28" to fit your system's design.

These are quite possibly the LAST stands you would have to buy. They are extremely well made, very heavy and the range of adjustment can cover just about any bookshelf you can stack on top of it. That's some decent flexibility for those of you that roll through loudspeakers frequently
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I was wondering that as I typed it up....lemme try and snatch a pair from HQ and find out. My memory says probably close, not perfect, but close. Do you have any pics of some Cherry?

I have Dark Oak Usher stands with Honey Oak loudspeakers and the contrast is pretty nice....sets off the speakers just right. I thought is would irritate me but was pleasantly suprised.

These are quite possibly the LAST stands you would have to buy. They are extremely well made, very heavy and the range of adjustment can cover just about any bookshelf you can stack on top of it. That's some decent flexibility for those of you that roll through loudspeakers frequently or simply every couple years.

They have solid Cherry side panels instead of Birch but are otherwise identical. Each is about 48 lbs. and the solid marble base makes them stable and pretty dead acoustically. They are in perfect condition, no issues and look stunning in person.

You are really not getting the best out of your loudspeaker by using a cheap stand. Don't insult your speakers or your ears, get these or at least get something decent and find out what you're missing. One of the better, modest upgrades you can make is a nice pair of stands.

They will be packed to withstand an atomic blast and don't let the weight scare you in regards to shipping. I get super rates and we can work something out, NO problem.

    Thanks for reading.

    Includes: Complete stands.
Those are beautifull stands (high class), they would give one's room a beautifull rich look. Much much nicer then the/my beloved typical VTI 29! Someone who wants to add to a nice room ought to buy those right away!

    Good luck with the sell!

I am soooo thinking about these...I have been in need of some stands since I got my LSi9's last year. I just never could decide on which height to get and since these are adjustable....
The stand tops are 11x7, the LSi9s are about 13x7. Would that work?

FYI on the color wrt the LSI9s-there are two varieties of Cherry. From the pic it looks like the newer/current LSi9.
See my thread here that has some pics. The second pic is the current color (and the most accurate that I can find in my photos) if that helps any.

Somebody please jump on these and save me from myself. My wife would kill me if she saw any new audio stuff suddenly appear.

Thanks Madden, those pics help alot. I would pick the newer finish, the more "red" of the pictures as a match.

The top plate can accomodate a larger loudspeaker with no problem. The Usher I have mounted now is 4" fore and aft of the actual plate. They are not top heavy and the combined weight sets them in at 90+. Aside from a football tackle, they aren't moving.

The extra pair I had are holding up the Monitor 10's at Polk HQ in Balitmore.

I had these made....they were the first mock ups for the stand so the welds are not as good as they would be now. www.myesound.com

I still have these Cherry stands available....$175 and local pickup would be awesome. The LAST stands you'll ever buy, for real.

EDIT: I'm on my way to New Jersey this coming Sunday....if you want to do a meet and greet. How's that for delivery options? :D
