I currently own a Adcom 5400, and a Adcom 5500. Both amps have the same problem which is a broken power button. The power button just fell apart after minimal use. I called Adcom for there assistance, and was hoping they could steer me to a nice replacement swtich. No such luck. I explained to the rep. that I was a firm believer in Adcom products, but after some research on the internet it seems that I am not the only one with this problem....hence both amps having the same problem.
The rep. offered me a phone number to a parts company that handles all there parts, but all this would accomplish is setting me up again for certain doom. I was really hoping that they had found an alternative switch that would mount cleanly and solve the problem. After all, there have been several calls to them over this same problem. Again, no such luck.
If anyone can assist me with this issue it would most certainly be appreciated! The switch is a round one with a L.E.D. in the center. I don't care if the new button has a light or not in it as I could easily mount a light separate. Let me be clear....I am not bashing Adcom as I love there products. I simply wish they could be a bit more helpful to there loyal customers. Thanks in advance for the help.

Can't help with that. But I've seen the same problem on a number of Adcoms as you note above. Some people just choose to leave their amp on 24/7--no need to bother with power switch this way.
