it is so far not as hot but we still have more days of summer left in Maryland.

The weather channel reports that TEXAS is having severe drought conditions.
The farmers' crops are all dried up and ranchers having to sell their livestock because there is not enough water to sustain them. many $$$ dollars lost due to the weather.
Lakes are drying up -- 46 feet below their regular level -- now they are able to tow abandoned cars and stuff that had been dumped.

Yea, we're in a pretty bad drought. My wife's dad has lost some cattle due to the heat/lack of water. Looking at our 10 day forecast, everyday is above 100 degrees...Its still hot here.

It just finally left Oklahoma for a few days. It was 105F here for a month or so, but the rain dropped it to 70-85 thepast day or two.

The heat here in richmond VA. has not been bad at all. The one thing though that has picked up is evening thunderstorms. We had one roll through Sunday at around 2:00 a.m. and lasted till after 3:30 a.m. It was so bad the thunder was directly overhead and was knocking stuff off of shelves. The rain was so hard it was blowing sideways and actually came in one of my closed windows. I have a large county ditch in front of my yard. It will handle most any amount of water when it rains but these thunderstorms are so bad the water overflows and starts running on the street. Then the next day after it is over you are out raking the street to remove all the debris.

The heat is in the Pacific NW right now. It was 104 yesterday, probably hit 106 today and tomorrow before dropping down to 95 on Thursday.

It's not here either. We've had up until today only 6 days of sunshine the rest friggin rain! Today we are to get up to 95 with the humidity. Yeah as we are on holidays, we are staying around this year. So we'll have a good day today and maybe a couple more this week.

We had rain for an entire month...or two (april/may) and everything was so green. Then no rain for at whole month killed my yard. I'm glad I got my house insulated in March... best $730 I ever spent. My electric bill is up, but not the $400 it was last year, and I can actually hit 72F in the house instead of "maintaining" 82F with the a/c on 24/7.

We're finally getting somewhat of a break here in the DFW area, highs this week are supposed to be just below 90 with a chance of rain, much better than the last month.

It's been in the 90's here in Southern California, will drop into the brisk 80's starting tomorrow. Major heat wave for us.;)

Just got back from Alabama and Louisiana. Can't for the life of me understand living in such weather. My brother is crazy. 96+ and 75 percent humidity:eek:

Got an 11:00 tee time, gotta go..

Yesterday, Seattle hit 102 and Olympia was 104. South of us in Vancouver it was 107 and Portland 105. Cooler today in Olympia, near 88 at 2:30 pm.

I think we are pretty closed of breaking raining record for July. 95? I don't think we got any close to that this summer. The last 2 weeks of July are construction vacation time on the Quebec side, I don't think too many of the workers are impressed this summer. Hopefully August will be better, I sure hope so my summer vacation starts on the last week of August and it would be very depressing to spend 2 weeks of vacation in the same weather as July has been.
