Theyre probably those white-van speakers that people get scammed into buying for over 1grand. There are plenty of forums on them posting all the names these rip offs go by, Ive looked into some out of curiousity when seeing ridiculous prices on unheard of speakersTruck setup

Wow, I haven't seen those ones yet, but they look like knock-offs of Swans.

Am I right? I've seen Infinity look alikes...LSI look alikes and more. Be surprised how many people have bought into these, you should google white van speaker scam and read up on HOW people got ripped off into buying these and how much they paid. All done using the same approach..
-Van pulls up to you, offers you a GREAT deal on a set of extra speakers the wharehouse 'accidently' gave them and they were told by their boss to go ahead and just sellem. They retail for over 2k/etcTruck setup

That first link is funny, got the one guy bragging how they blew the bose system away. Ha."Don't forget to change your politician. They are like diapers they need to be changed regularly, and for the same reason." -
Wow. I can't believe ANYONE would buy a pair of speakers from the back of a van! You don't have to be an audiophile to have some common sense (one would think). That first link just makes me laugh! :rolleyes:/COLOR] My Rigs [COLOR="Red" Balanced Audio Technology | Revel | Dodd | Monarchy | PS Audio | MIT | Polk | Etc.

The White Van scam has been going on for at least 20 years now.

From a van in the Home Depot parking lot no less.
Had the same kinda thing happen at my office building except it was for cheap paintings (prints). Guy would come in nar the end of the day with some story about how the office bldg management had contracted them to handle the building, but they had over ordered and 'his boss' authorized him to blow the rest out an insane prices.
I just love how they show you a list of other 'saps' (if they are even real) that also fell for the scam to give you that warm and fuzzy feeling that your money and checks are safe with him. I played along for a bit--of course he had to 'check with his boss' to see if he could swing the deal, finally came back with a reluctant 'yes' but only if I acted right then and there. I sent him on his way and made bldg security aware of his activity--after all if he was really working for the bldg, then he'll have no problems.____________________
